Inscription: “I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today” said Piglet to Pooh. On the other side is an engraving of them from an illustration from, “We Say Good-bye” the closing chapter of A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh. Milne is most famous for his two “Pooh” books about a boy named Christopher Robin who was named after his son and various characters inspired by his son’s stuffed animals, most notably the bear named Winnie the Pooh. The actual stuffed toys owned by Christopher Robin Milne are now on display at the Main Branch of the New York Public Library in New York City.
