Once upon a time, during the Victorian & Art Nouveau eras, jewelry and its metal work findings were made with great attention paid to design detail. Here's an example of such vintage reverie: A row of flower vine and leaf bas relief texture on 1/2" brass balls. 21 balls hanging from variegated chain lengths make for a rich textured cluster of charm. To accent the antique feel, I strung it with contemporary pyrite. Faceted teardrop shapes that sparkle as they catch the light give this neckpiece a 21st century upgrade.
I've owned these vintage baubles for 40 years. I am not certain as to whether they from the Victorian era, or Art Nouveau period. Whichever the case, they are definitely old, and show the verdigris vestiges of time. Enjoy this 20" one of a kind neckpiece as a solo piece, or worn with a focus pendant, as seen in the photo.
